I photograph what catches my eye in contemporary Britain, working primarily in the north where I'm based. Shooting only in black and white, I'm interested in the patterns and moments that reveal something essential about how we move through ordinary places. These images accumulate as a personal record of being present with a camera during a particular time and place.
